What an amazing week we have had! I am grateful for:
- Our PTO organizers and Ms. DiPiero for an awesome Pre-K Bike Parade. The weather was beautiful and the children had a lot of fun making new friends and getting comfortable at Lomond.
- Our fabulous PTO organizers for Teacher Appreciation Week! There was a lot of behind-the-scenes coordinating and daily setup throughout the week. Thank you for giving your time and energy to making this a fabulous week.
- All of our wonderful parents and students who spoiled us with delicious food and tokens of appreciation (e.g. poems, flowers, etc.) throughout the week.
- Ms. Billie who helped keep the food flowing during Teacher Appreciation Week! Our bounty was so great that Ms. Billie used her office as an overflow station!
- Ms. Durkalski for organizing our author visit! Don Tate gave a wonderful presentation to all of our students and inspired them to think creatively.
- Our tremendous turnout at Open House! It was so great to see so many families here to support their children and to celebrate a year of learning. I am so proud of our students and their hard work. It’s always amazing to see the growth that occurs in one year. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to attend this year-end event.
- Our El Sistema directors, Ms. Steiner and Ms. Lauritsen for preparing our students for both an all school assembly and an evening performance at Open House. The students have improved so much throughout the year and the performances showed this development. We are all so grateful for the hard work and dedication of these directors and also for the persistence and grit of our students who pursued learning their instrument throughout the school year.
I want to emphasize how much our teachers and staff and I truly appreciate the support and love we feel from our PTO and our families. We are so grateful to part of such a strong community.
