Our Featured Non-Profit:
Laramore-Osborne American Legion Post #100
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veteran’s organization. Focusing on service to veterans, service members and communities, the Legion evolved from a group of war-weary veterans of World War I into one of the most influential nonprofit groups in the United States. Membership swiftly grew to over 1 million, and local posts sprang up across the country. Today, membership stands at over 2.4 million in 14,000
posts worldwide.

In October 2016 The Department of Texas announced that a new post would be created in Royse City. The Post quickly gathered enough members to create the post. In January 2017 National signed the Temporary charter. The American Legion Post in Royse City meets the second Saturday of each month at the Police Department Building of Royse City at 9:30 AM.

They are hosting their 1st annual carnival in honor of April being the American Legion Children and Youth month. The event is on Saturday, April 7th, 2018 at the Royse City high school stadium parking lot from 9:00 - 3:00 p.m. The proceeds will go towards our scholarships and youth programs. Vendors and sponsorships are still available. For more information please follow the links below: Email:  rclegionfest@gmail.com Website:  www.rclegion.com/fest
