Land Rover of Pasadena Grand Prix

Flintridge, La Canada, CA  - April 23,  2014 - It was a great start to the 93rd Annual Flintridge Horse Show, which benefits the Huntington Memorial Hospital. Congratulations to Georges Bittar and Beirut B who won the 1.20 Jumpers today! 

 

The Flintridge La Caada Guild hosts two fabulous events, the 13th Annual Wine Tasting during the Hunt Teams of 3 Tandem on Friday night (5:30pm) - which will feature music from The Dadbeats - and a ringside dinner at the Land Rover of Pasadena Grand Prix on Saturday night (6:45pm). Tickets can be purchased at the information booth located in the rider's lounge starting Thursday (April 24) or via Helen Lund at (818) 693-1010.

It's going to be another eventful week and we hope you'll come out and join us for as much as you can. Don't miss the 13th Annual Wine Tasting during the Hunt Teams of 3 Tandem on Friday night or the ringside dinner at the Land Rover of Pasadena Grand Prix on Saturday night. 

 

Last week's Flintridge Spring Classic, featuring the $30,000 WCHR West Coast Hunter Spectacular and the $25,000 S&S Bank Card Systems Flintridge Grand Prix, ended on such a great note! Special thanks to everyone who took part in making it the biggest horse show in the history of the Flintridge Riding Club. 
 
A few of the week's highlights were:


Winner of the 2014 WCHR West Coast Hunter Spectacular

Hope Glynn and King's Peak took the win on Friday night with a score of 174.12. Hope was the WCHR winner on Woodstock in 2013. Nick Haness and Krave placed second with a score of 172 and placing third was Hope Glynn and Woodstock with a score of 171.75.

Among this event two special awards were given. The WCHR High Score Professional Rider was given to John French and the WCHR High Score Developing Professional Rider was given to both Alexis Taylor-Silvernale and Alicia Saxton.

Winner of the 2014 S&S Bank Card Systems Flintridge Grand Prix

For the second year in a row, Susan Artes and Zamiro took the win on Saturday night. This year with a time of 38.58. John Pearce, with three horses entered, came in second, fifth and sixth.
