Lot reservations available end of Summer
|
Starting at the end of August we will begin to accept lot reservations for our newest James Island Community, Cotton's Crossing. Building is scheduled to begin early Fall.
Cotton's Crossing is located off Woodland Shores Road, across from New Leaf Community Fox Hollow. On this plot, New Leaf plans to build a 26-lot community introducing its newest classic collection of homes.
Custom home plans for this neighborhood have been developed borrowing heavily from local rural island styles. The result is a unified series of homes with fresh coastal craftsman detailing. The homes feature three and four bedrooms, functional floor plans, sheltering overhangs and broad porches that extend the houses to the beautiful surrounding environment to foster an active community.
For more information about this community and lot reservations please contact our office at (843) 400-0280.

We have had a hot couple of days in Charleston and your lawn may be starting to struggle a little. Growth will slow, color may fade, and lawns will show signs of wear and tear as they are less able to recover from stress and traffic. Check out these tips below to help your lawns make it through this last summer month (or two - it is Charleston after all).
- Water Wisely: Your lawn needs at least an inch of water per week and it needs more when its hot. Use a rain gauge to track the amount of water from rain and water accordingly. Water early in the day and water deeply.
- Mowing Tips: Keep your grass taller in the hot months. Taller grass is more drought resistant and and grows deeper roots. Also, you can mulch your grass clippings to help provide more moisture for your lawn.
- Don't over Fertilize: Its best not to fertilize during the hottest months of the year. Fertilizing during the heat can burn your lawn or create a fresh growth that won't be able to stand the heat.
- Control Weeds: Summer is the time to rid your lawn of weeds before they germinate and spread. Avoid using weed control products if temperatures are over 85 degrees. Instead, opt for hand pulling weeds.
