ALLIANCE OF THE LIBERTARIAN LEFT (A.L.L.) Potluck
FRI 2/4 | 6-9pm | FREE | @ BNB
~
This is a monthly get together of friends of the Austin and Central Texas chapter of Alliance of the Libertarian Left. We plan on coming together monthly to make friends and alliances so that we can build a community based on similar or mutual interests and aid. This is not a political organization that uses the ruling class system of politics, but a group of people looking to promote growth outside the ruling class structures as as much as possible.

The Alliance of the Libertarian Left is a multi-tendency coalition of mutualists, agorists, voluntaryists, geolibertarians, left-Rothbardians, green libertarians, dialectical anarchists, radical minarchists, and others on the libertarian left, united by an opposition to statism and militarism, to cultural intolerance (including sexism, racism, and homophobia), and to the prevailing corporatist capitalism falsely called a free market; as well as by an emphasis on education, direct action, and building alternative institutions, rather than on electoral politics, as our chief strategy for achieving liberation.

JESUS IN INDIA (free screening)
SAT 2/5 | 7pm | FREE | @ BNB

*presentation by the film maker the following week*

This intriguing film begins with Edward T. Martin's quest across 4000 miles of India in search of answers about where Jesus was during the "Hidden Years" from ages 12 to 30. The New Testament is silent on those years, however in India there is an ancient tradition that young Jesus joined a caravan and took the Silk Road to the East, where he lived with both Hindus and Buddhists. Scholars and religious authorities are joined in this film by the Dalai Lama and an Apostolic Nuncio of Pope John Paul II. You will hear all sides, and you will be shocked and surprised by some of the answers offered for the Bible's silence.
MISDEMEANOR TRAFFIC COURT PROCEDURE with Eddie Craig of Rule of Law Radio
EVERY Saturday from 3-6pm @ BNB | $20 per student

Mr. Craig will be discussing the Code of Criminal Procedure and proper flow of due process as directed by law. Also being discussed will be the the real-world misapplication of the statutes in order to deny the People's right to due process of law in accordance with the law of the land. Mr. Craig will give real and current scenarios that are ongoing in the Austin municipal courts right now as examples of what is going on and how to counter it.

***Each class will review material from the preceding class, but each installment is unique and is not a verbatim repeat!***

TAG presents Please Remove Your Shoes

A new documentary on the TSA

MON 2/7 | 7pm | FREE | @ BNB

Please Remove Your Shoes is a revealing documentary about broken government process. It is also an empathetic story about a half dozen public servants who try to fix it. And it is a familiar topic to all of us who have flown in the last fifteen years: the security routine at the airport, first the FAA and now the TSA.  Please Remove Your Shoes examines the period before 911 and the current situation nine years later and asks the questions that make Washington squirm: "Are we really any better for all our money spent? Or is it safe to say that nothing has changed?"

...and that's not even the half of it! See y'all in the underground ;)

Bravely,
