Autumn Leaves  (Oliver Dalton)
Greetings!

Autumn greetings! Very few or our outings are full (unlike the spring) so take a look at the schedule below and join us this fall season through Oct 28.

Yet when the Autumn sun
   Colours the trees,
Should you come seeking me,
   Know me by these:
Bronze leaves and crimson leaves,
   Soon to be shed;
Dark little berries,
   On stalks turning red.

"Song of the Dogwood Fairy," by Cicely Mary Barker

Hiker-Beware: It's Hunting Season

 1. Dress to be seen during hunting season. Wear bright clothing such as orange and red (i.e. tie a neon orange scarf to your pack or wear a safety vest).

2. Make noise by whistling, singing or conversating. Hunters are listening for animal sounds and movement.

3. Know when and where hunting season is. October is the peak month and is not allowed in state and national parks.
