Lower Level Progress
It's been a busy (and fairly loud) week at Peter White Public Library. Closner's crew has cleared the lower level excluding the Marquette Arts and Culture Center Rooms.
This photo shows the space as you come down the main stairs to the lower level.

The old ramp has been removed and the new ramp is formed for pouring next week. Moving the main walk way on the lower level has allowed us to gain square footage for the Children's Room.
The triangular area behind the ramp will be the community room kitchenette. The kitchenette will be available for community room event use.

Instead of a cafe, vending and coffee will be located on the main floor!

The angled chalk lines on the floor (seen in this photo running from the middle of the left side to the lower right side) will be the new entry for the Children's Room. It's still hard to visualize, but we are excited for this extra space for our children's department!
*Work on the 1904 building will start after Memorial Day weekend.

*The Marquette Arts and Culture Center rooms (not the LSAA gallery) will also be cleared starting next week.
