The Lower Westheimer Corridor Study is an enhanced pre-engineering study for the CIP project along Westheimer Rd. and Elgin St. between Montrose Blvd. and Main St. This project is funded with construction scheduled for 2020. Anticipated construction changes include: traffic signals, enhanced pedestrian realm with minimum 6' sidewalk, adjusted turning lanes and bus stop locations. The City will also upgrade storm and wastewater lines as necessary.
In addition, the City has gathered input on the study area for Westheimer Rd. between Shepherd Dr. and Montrose Blvd (N-2013T-C01). No funding has been scheduled for this segment.
