As promised, here are some of the beautiful quilts from our graduating beginners.

Two new beginner classes will be starting this week. The Monday morning class will beg in on March 6 and the Thursday night class will begin on March 9.  The Monday group meets from 10:00 - 12:00 and the Thursday group meets from 5:30 - 7:30.  The cost is $75 and you will finish the class with a complete quilt!  Call or come by to reserve your spot in the next class!  SEW MUCH FUN!

We want to extend a warm welcome to our newest staff member, Sharon!  We are thrilled to have her on our team! Sharon has been a customer for a while and we are SEW excited she has joined our staff. WELCOME Sharon!

Remember we are providing opportunities for you to come work on your club projects during the "Sit & Sew" times this year or if
you're not in a club, just come sew!  We are changing this a little bit after some customer feedback.  Regardless of whether you want to do some handwork or sew on your machine, come on either of the two "Sit & Sew" days provided each month and SEW!!! These days have been set aside for you to use our classroom and the supplies while you fellowship with others and work towards completing projects.   BUT . . . YOU MUST RESERVE A SPOT.  We are limiting the number of people to 10 on each of the sewing days so if you are interested you need to call and reserve your spot.  It's totally free!  But we only have room for so many so let us know you're coming and we will let you know if there is still room. You can get into the classroom at 9:45 and sew until 4:00!  WOW!  Staff can answer questions and help you briefly but they will be working on the floor taking care of other business. This is not class time so please be respectful of our staff members. You can order lunch or bring your own. Come sew with us!   Did I mention it's FREE ?!?!?

Sassy Stitches  will be happy to help you select fabrics and gather the Creative Grids tools you need to get ready for workshops or classes. We also have special sales for attendees at local quilting events.

Remember that we carry Creative Grids rulers and tools so call or come by the shop to get all of your supplies! We will be glad to ship them to you if you don't live close by.

Have a wonderful week and come see us!

FINANCING now offered for YOU!
Sassy Stitches now offers financing on Janome Machines!  If you thought owning your dream machine was out of reach, think again!  The Horizon Memory Craft 9400 is currently my best seller.  Come in the shop to give it a test-drive and you will see why!

Paul Johnson
Mr. Paul Johnson is well-known for his beautiful wood work.  He recently made me a few pieces that I love!  I asked for a quilt ladder to display quilts and also a ruler keeper.  Here's what he made.

Paul left a book at the shop of several of his creations.  He can also create a custom piece if you have something in mind.  I'm a little partial to his sewing furniture but he can make much more. He delivered 5 ruler keepers to the shop this past week and they are ALL gone!  We will be ordering more! Stop in or call the shop to get his information.  His work is truly beautiful!
Show & Tell
We are excited to announce that we have scheduled some classes with  instructor Nancy Sapin!  Nancy is a  Freelance National Educator representing Sulky of America.  She creates beautiful projects and shares her wealth of information as an awesome teacher.  The first class we have on the calendar is "Pinweaving Portraits" scheduled for May 6.  More information on this class soon. Here is a sneak peak at some of Nancy's pinweaving.

We got these cute signs in last week.

Linda made this sample our of some of our new fabric.  THANKS Linda!

This beautiful quilt a customer made for her daughter has the sweetest prairie points.

These cute bags came in this week.

Our Annie found a wonderful new use for binder clips!  LOL!

And what's that saying about the apple doesn't fall far from the tree?  This is her sweet grandson sporting a bobbin keeper as an earring! Isn't he the cutest?!?!

Ryan's Case for Smiles
Our charity focus at Sassy Stitches is Ryan's Case for Smiles. This is an organization that provides fun pillowcases for sick children .  ALL of our donations will be used in Asheville, NC at Mission Children's Hospital. I volunteered for this charity for several years and have personally delivered pillow cases to kids at Mission Children's Hospital and assure you it brings great joy to sick children to pick out a fun pillowcase. When you read the story about Cindy and her son, Ryan, you will understand what a great cause this is. It's the perfect charity for anyone who sews! Here is a link to the organization's website.
We will accept pillowcases, fabric donations for making pillow cases and monetary donations. If you choose to make pillowcases, there are tips on the website (see link above) about making them. The volunteers who take the pillowcases wash them before delivery. Something so simple as a fun pillowcase really does bring a smile to a sick child.  THANKS!
