Colin Powell Endorses Marriage Equality
Ex-Secretary of State Powell endorses marriage rights for gay couples: Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, a Republican who also served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said this week he had "no problem" with same-sex couples marrying. SAVE Thousands of Dollars with NEW Program
There is a special program, effective June 11, 2012, being offered by FHA regarding refinancing of your FHA loan. The mortgage insurance premiums are being cut dramatically to only a fraction of what is usually charged on a refinance. This can potentially save you thousands of dollars in mortgage insurance premium and also doesn't require you to have an appraisal. If your property values have dropped and you are concerned about qualifying, this program is for you. To qualify you have to have closed your old FHA loan on or before May 31st, 2009.

MPACT is Back and Buddies!
You heard right! MPACT is back at Buddies! Sunday, 05/27 3:00-6:00pm MPACT is offering a $10 gift card to a restaurant or movies when you come in for an HIV test. Buddies is an alternative place to "play" that's safer than Palmer Park, and a bit less risky than showing up at a strangers doorstep. Plus there's condoms galore (brought to you buy MPACT)
And as always we are available for testing during the week in our office, AND at the Pride center on the third Thursday of the month!

Know Your Rights - Public Accommodations & Housing
 LGBT Coloradans are protected from discrimination in public accommodations and housing.In May 2008, Governor Bill Ritter signed the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act to add protections for LGBT people in public accommodations (i.e., restaurants and hotels) and housing. A public accommodation is defined as an entity that offers sales or services of any kind to the public: businesses, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, clinics, and health clubs.
Under this law, LGBT Coloradans are protected by ensuring landlords and housing entities as well as public accommodations use inclusive business practices. For Coloradans, this means all people now have equal access to sales, services, and housing.

On Friday May 25th, we are changing Peaks and Pasties up! As we have now separated the club into two entities, Peaks and Pasties will be tearing up Subterranean Nightclub at 128 1/2 E. Kiowa (through the pedestrian alley)! Doors open at 9 pm and it's just $5 for everyone over 18 and afterwards party with our resident DJ's for FUNKtion Fridays with the best house, dance, club and trance music anywhere in Southern Colorado!
