 We are looking for individuals to join us in the Denver Pride Parade as representatives of Colorado Springs
What you need to do:
Show up to Cheeseman Park Sunday morning, June 17th, by 8:45am; I will already be there. I will give you more details as I learn them. Wear clothes without logos, pictures or slogans. If you want to wear something "festive" that more identifies you within the community (EX; Drag, Leather, etc.) please run it by us first. Corporate Support Swings Behind Marriage Equality
Starbucks, Microsoft, Boeing and Google are among a growing number of companies taking stands in favor of allowing same-sex couples to marry, a development some say is emblematic of a major shift in corporate America's approach to LGBT issues.
"Earlier on there was more risk than reward. Now there's far more talk about the reward and less about the risk," said Bob Witeck, a consultant who advises corporations on LGBT issues. Another sign of the sea change in corporate thinking on the issue: Target is selling T-shirts with LGBT-positive messages to help raise money for the Family Equality Council, a group which is part of coalition fighting a marriage amendment in Minnesota. This meeting is for local like-minded & engaged LGBT or LGBT Focused organizations to gather and discuss their organizations goals and efforts and then to collectively explore ways of helping each other accomplish those goals.
By design, the meeting is somewhat informal but does follow a simple agenda.

Transgender Family Support Group
Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month.
This is a support group specifically for family members and friends of Transgender people.
We will have a licensed therapist to facilitate and provide structure for this support group.
This is a safe place to speak freely and confidentially. We will discuss our fears and concerns about loving and living with someone who is Transgender. Whether you're loved one is questioning, "In the closet" or transitioning or anywhere on the gender identity spectrum, we will share experiences and encouragement.
To ensure open dialogue, we are asking that TG people not attend the family only meeting. There is a waiting area if needed.
This is free to all who attend.
