The Fourth Annual College Savings Mississippi Art Contest is open for registration today. Mississippi students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade will have the opportunity to compete for over $3600 in MACS (Mississippi Affordable College Savings) scholarships with their original artwork on the theme “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
A $529 MACS scholarship will be awarded to the first place contestant in each of the following age categories: Pre-Kindergarten – 2nd Grade, 3rd – 5th Grades, 6th – 8th Grades, and 9th – 12th Grades. A second place prize of a $250 MACS scholarship and third place prize of a $100 MACS scholarship will also be awarded in each age category.
The contest is open to all Mississippi students, whether in a classroom, through an afterschool program, or by homeschooling. This year, the classroom or teacher with the most entries will win an additional $100 MACS scholarship to be distributed in the manner he or she determines.
