Buddy Day Update:  Habit 3
Lyon celebrated our March Buddy Day on March 20.  This month we have focused on Habit 3:  Put First Things First.  Habit 3 stresses the importance of doing our work first, then playing.  At our buddy day assembly Dr. Wistrom, AKA RepMO man, visited Lyon to share how both he and his family put first things first!

Check out a few celebrations on this fun day!

First Grade Teachers Reviewing Habit 3

Lyon's 3rd Quarter Progress

Lyon leaders worked hard to master grade level standards throughout the 3rd quarter.  Our goal is 80% of Lyon Leaders are at or above grade level.  We fell below the goal in writing, but exceeded our goal in math.
Lyon staff will collaborate to make adjustments in the 4th quarter so we will meet our goal.

MAP TESTING:  Grades 3rd-5th
It's that time of the year again, where our 3rd-5th grade students and teachers are gearing up for the Statewide Assessment.  Lyon will be MAP testing from  April 23rd-May 4th , so please make plans for your child to be in attendance during this time.  A more specific grade level schedule will be shared out once it is finalized.  We can't wait for our students to "show what they know"!!p

We wanted to update Lyon families on Jump Rope For Heart!  Our school goal was to raise $3,500 (saving 70 lives).  Although we didn't reach our goal, Lyon synergized and raised $2,540 for the American Heart Association.  This is enough to save 50 lives!  Students who raised $50 or more will be honored at our upcoming April assembly.  Those raising $100 or more will get to Silly String Coach Prewitt and building principals.  All those raising at least $50 will be invited to a Gym Jam on this day.  Thank you for all those families who donated and reached out to others for donations.
