A warm welcome to all of our members and friends of the Massachusetts Congress of Lake and Pond Associations!

We hope that you all have had a great holiday and have been keeping warm in this cold weather! Thank you to all who have participated in our Lake Management Questionnaire. This information has been very useful to us and we will distribute our findings at our next annual conference. Speaking of...

MA COLAP is excited to announce that our Spring 2018 Conference will be held Friday, April 13, 2018, at the Massachusetts Fish and Wildlife Headquarters in Westborough, MA! More information will follow regarding specifics, but all of us at MA COLAP are very excited that MA Fish and Wildlife will be hosting us again.

If you have any interest in presenting at the conference or hosting a booth or poster, please email us at [email protected] . We are looking to feature topics that involve invasive species, lake management, wildlife, and climate change, though all lake related topics are welcome!

And as always, if you have an interest in joining our board or volunteering with MA COLAP, please feel free to reach out to us as at [email protected] . MA COLAP is always looking for volunteer projects to get involved with, so you if you have any ideas, please throw them our way!

Thank you for participating in our lake and pond management survey! Full survey results will be released at the annual conference. In the meantime, did you know that...

  • The primary use for your lakes and ponds is: boating
  • The main concern for your lakes and ponds is: invasive species
  • The largest contributor to your lake and pond concerns are: people
  • Our members are most interested in learning about: general lake and pond management, followed closely by invasive species management

Invasive species, algae, erosion, and enforcement topped the list of our members' greatest concerns regarding their lake or pond.
