Official Announcement of the Annual Business Meeting of MAB
This is the official notice of the Annual Business Meeting of the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
The General Assembly of the members will be held:
Date: August 14, 2018
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Place: The Grand Pavilion Room at the Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island, Mich.
There is no charge for MAB members to attend this meeting.

It's Official - September 20 is the Next National EAS Test
As previously speculated, Thursday, September 20 at 2:20 p.m. Eastern will be the date and time for the next National EAS Test. This year's test will also include testing of WEA, the Wireless Emergency Alert System - so in addition to hearing (or conducting) a broadcast Emergency Alert System text, you'll likely also receive one on your smartphone.

Elections Bureau Recommends Approval of Minimum Wage, Paid Sick Time Proposals
The Department of State Bureau of Elections concluded that both the One Fair Wage proposal to increase the minimum wage and the MI Time to Care proposal to require employers to provide paid sick time had collected enough signatures to be passed to the Legislature.
