SUMMER CONFERENCE
Lifetime Achievement Winner, 2018 Hall of Fame Inductees Will Be Honored on Island The MAB announced Monday the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award winner and Michigan Broadcasting Hall of Fame inductees who will be honored during the annual Awards Banquet on August 14 at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Long-time WGVU Public Media General Manger Michael Walenta will receive the 2018 MAB Lifetime Achievement Award. Hall of Fame honorees will include WNZK-AM "Ask Your Neighbor" host Bob Allison, WLNS-TV Anchor Sherri Jones and WBFH-FM Adviser Pete Bowers Click here  to learn more about this year's honorees. And click here to register to attend the Awards Banquet.

Island Rooms are Going, Going, Almost Gone! Book Your Room Before it's Too Late
The MAB has secured room blocks at several hotels on Mackinac Island, but they are filling up fast. The Grand Hotel is already sold out for the night of August 12 - 3 rooms are left for the 13th and nearly a dozen still for the 14th. The Chippewa Hotel is down to 5 rooms available on August 12, 3 on the 13th and only has 1 left on the 14th. Lock in your rates now and don't get left off the Island this summer. Reservations for The Grand Hotel can be made  here through July 12. The MAB has also blocked rooms at two other hotels on the island. Block rates expire June 12. Learn more  here .
