Active Shooter Course - Is your staff prepared?
Law enforcement officers and agencies are frequently requested by schools, businesses, and community members for direction and presentations on what they should do if confronted with an active shooter event. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, what to expect when police arrive and medical issues, amongst others.

Tactical Communication
Some of the most stress-provoking situations encountered at work involve interactions with angry, disrespectful customers. This session will review the importance of active listening and how our mood, facial expression, body language, and word choice can affect how a message is received. In addition, the presenter will share techniques intended to help direct a wayward conversation back on topic.
