Upcoming Release of Draft Mid-Atlantic Ocean Action Plan

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Body (MidA RPB) is preparing to release the Draft Mid-Atlantic Ocean Action Plan in the coming weeks.  3 Years in the making, the Plan outlines a series of actions on how federal and state agencies, tribes and the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council may better collaborate on ocean governance and decision-making to ensure healthy, productive and resilient marine ecosystems and sustainable ocean uses in the Mid-Atlantic.  The release will be followed by a public comment period. On July 11 th, the RPB will be hosting a webinar to introduce the Plan to the public. MARCO is helping with public outreach and will be hosting a series of Open Houses in each of the MARCO states to allow the public additional opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Plan.
