MONO NO AWARE is an international exhibition open to any person or group of persons making contemporary art that incorporates Super 8mm, 16mm, 35mm or altered light projections as part of a sculpture, installation, dance, or expanded cinema performance. For example: blending film & theater performance, musicians creating a visual experience for their sound, & experimental filmmakers working with story tellers. Submissions including digital projections will not be considered. All moving images should be from an analog source..

The Mass Reality Check is a college doc shorts showcase for college and university students and recent graduates working in short documentary and experimental documentary film. Every student whose film is selected to screen at Salem Film Fest 2015 will receive an all-access pass to the festival and a jury of our sponsors will award one filmmaker "Best Short." Programming staff from Salem Film Fest and representatives from LEF Foundation, Documentary Educational Resources and The Independent, will meet individually with the Mass Reality Check winner after the festival to give them advice about filmmaking as a career and provide insights into funding, distribution as well as other professional considerations.
Submissions are now open for SFF 2015, which takes place in Salem, Massachusetts from March 5-12, 2015.
The fourth annual Boston Student Film Fest is now accepting student films for it's 2015 program! Our event has become the top showcase of student films in New England and many of our featured films have gone on to other festivals after being discovered at BSFF. With each year we are always excited to expand, adding new networking events and showcasing opportunities to support our artist's. Screening and event dates will be announced shortly.
