ABOUT DADA

Downtown Art District Association

We are an independent,

non-profit, community based,

volunteer organization.

We sponsor First Friday Gallery Hops every month throughout the year, with financial

assistance from individual and business donations which help defray the cost of such expenses as street-closing permits, barricades, and off-duty police officers.

We publish two monthly e-newsletters, free for members and to anyone who signs up for  our mailing list.

Our mission is to support arts in our community. Your tax-deductible donation helps support the Art District and fund educational and outreach programs.
Oh, merry merry month of May, Make Old Man Winter stay AWAY....
The Art District is growing by leaps and bounds, and so is the monthly Gallery Hop. Be sure to get there early so you can see the wonderful visual and performance art at the Liberty Street galleries as well as those on Sixth Street and Trade Street, and be sure to walk past the Seventh Street intersection to visit Kilpatrick Design in the 800 block! Then, on the heels of Gallery Hop, there are a couple events on Saturday, May 3 that you'll want to check out. And don't forget, the Arts on Sunday Festival kicks off with Blues-a-palooza, Sunday May 4, 1-5 pm.  Immerse yourself in the arts this month!
