Craft Beer! What a way to celebrate a
100th Year Anniversary!
Most everyone probably knows all there is to know about
Craft Beer, however, we found this unique description on the Brewers Association website, "
. . . 10 minutes of pleasure, pure happiness in a glass, authentic, archetypical, an intellectual beverage that is to be savored not swilled and much, much more. It is enjoyed for everyday celebrations and is viewed by many as one of the special things in life that makes the day taste and feel a little better."

Festival Park, 403 Appomattox Street (behind the Appomattox Regional Library), Hopewell, VA. More than 30 craft beers to sample, as well as live music and good food. Tickets are on sale now at
http://www.wondercitybeerfest.com/. Taster Tickets are $25 (includes unlimited sampling and a commemorative glass). VIP Tickets are $50 (includes unlimited sampling, a commemorative glass, all day snacks in the VIP area, private bathrooms in a shaded area and priority parking. There are a limited numbers of ticket and will sell out fast). Non-Taster Tickets are $10 for the general public. Children are FREE, but must be accompanied by adult or guardian. Tickets are $10 for our designated drivers and include complimentary soft drinks. -- We all love propaganda. It is a very effective tool during times of war. There was no exception during the Civil War. Propaganda in the Civil War will be presented on May 7, 2016. See examples of Civil War propaganda and learn about the people who practiced this form of psychological warfare. Remember the
Susan Constant and
Godspeed who brought the English colonists to Jamestown in 1607. Well, they will be celebrated again as the replicas turn 25 and 10 years of age. Their milestone will be recognized during

May 14, 2016, as well as Jamestown's legacy through interpretive programs; i.e, Powhatan Indians and English interactions, archaeology, and military and maritime displays and traditional entertainment.
