The Miami Beach Police Department's Women's Self-Defense Course will teach you how not to be a victim.  Unlike other programs, this course will also teach the student how to proactively disrupt an attacker's plan in a pre-emptive manner and with the proper mindset. In The Line Of Fire "Swat Medic"  
Not for the faint of heart, Miami Beach SWAT team members are prepared to respond to hostage and active shooter situations, serve high-risk warrants, respond to barricaded subjects and offer dignitary protection for the city's many high-profile visitors.
In this episode of Miami Beach Beat, we meet SWAT Medic Joel Mizelle - one of the few elite team members who serve both as a Firefighter/Paramedic and ALSO a Police SWAT member. 
 
Boat and Yacht Show Brings Traffic to Miami Beach
The Miami International Boat Show and the Strictly Sail Yacht Show will be in the City of Miami Beach February 12 - 16, 2015.
 
SoBe Wine and Food Festival
The SOBEWFF will be in the City of Miami Beach February 19 - 22, 2015, affecting traffic coming into the city and near Ocean Drive.

Spring Break runs through March 31, 2015. You can expect higher volumes of traffic during this time period.

Stop For Pedestrians

The Miami Beach Police Department requests that you do not remove the pedestrian crosswalk signs from any of the locations that they are placed. Pedestrian crosswalk signs are placed based on the density of pedestrian safety. If you feel that your neighborhood requires a pedestrian sign, please contact your Neighborhood Resource Officer in your area.

On Saturday, January 24, 2015 NoBe Beat Officer Carlos Rodriguez assisted the Southeastern Guide Dogs with exposure to city environments.
