MCASF Member Luncheon
September 16, 2015, 12:00 - 2:00, Shulas Hotel, Miami Lakes
Presented by MCASF Preferred Vendor Member Marsh & McLennan Agency Did you know... If your company employed 50 or more full-time equivalent employees (counting full and part-time employees) in the 2014 calendar year, you'll be required to complete a new IRS reporting form. The form, 1095-C (also referred to as "Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage") serves as the means for employers to report IRS-required information about offers and enrollment of health coverage for their full-time employees. The information reported is based on the 2015 calendar year. The information reported on this form is used in determining individual shared responsibility and whether an employer owes a payment under the employer shared responsibility provisions of the Affordable Care Act. Employers are responsible for distributing form 1095-C to full-time employees by January 31, 2016 and to the IRS by February 28, 2016 or March 31, 2016 if filing electronically. Not planning to handle processing these forms in house? The time is now to find external vendors (such as payroll companies, third party administrators, etc.) to assist with compliance, since most are close to capacity, some with deadlines as early as mid-August. Fines for not completing the reporting requirement are extremely costly! Employers will be fined $250 per form that should have been created / reported to a maximum of $3million. Attend this luncheon and learn what is required of your company, and how to comply. Not sure if this applies to your company?
