New training module
The training center recently received two excellent new training modules, courtesy of an International Training Fund Grant. Training Director Phil Rodin is extremely pleased with the new modules, which will allow apprentices a much-improved training tool for
practicing & perfecting their fitting skills. Stop by and check it out!
Apprentice candidate interviews
The JATC recently interviewed nearly 150 apprentice candidates for acceptance into the program. Committee Co-chairman Bill Clark (Airstron) stated that he was pleased with the quality of this year's applicants, and noticed an overall improvement in the scores of applicants. Accepted applicants include 16 pipe fitting apprentices and 34 service apprentices. Nearly all of the apprentices are working in the industry - please contact Local Union 725 regarding hiring one of the few remaining available apprentices!
Training center marketing The JATC continues to find new ways to promote the training center as part of their overall effort to pull from a broader pool of apprentice candidates. As part of an incentive program created by the Committee, current apprentices who refer an applicant to apply for the training program will receive one of the two tee-shirts shown above, which will give the school additional exposure. Do you have ideas for creative ways we can promote the training center? Please email your suggestions to committee member Julie Dietrich,
