Workshop on Florida's new infrastructure legislation & opportunities in public / private partnerships
Monday, Sept. 16 New legislation expands the scope of Public-Private Partnerships (commonly referred to as P3s) in the State of Florida and creates new opportunities through private investment at all levels in the construction industry. Florida previously enjoyed the benefits of P3s for state transportation projects. Now, Florida's new legislation opens the door for P3 investment in local government projects for the development, design and construction of civil and social infrastructure, such as health care and education facilities, water, sewer and waste service projects, as well as roads, bridges and causeways. Attend this workshop & hear from Florida's public leaders and national private sector experts on what lies ahead- the opportunities and the challenges. Click here to download a registration form.
SFACA September member meeting Wednesday, Sept. 4
Is your company polluting? HVAC contractors may think they may only be targeted for poluuting if they don't follow required procedures for handling refrigerants. Did you know that contractors may be just as much at risk for other common materials used in mechanical contracting, such as fiberglass & chemicals? Attend this presentation and find out, from a legal perspective, the potential liabilities your company may face and how to protect your company from exposure with specific insurance coverage and contract provisions. Click here to download a registration form.

At a MCASF member meeting earlier this year, Pete Chaney, MCAA's Director of Safety and Health, talked with our members about the new Global Harmonized System (GHS) for classifying chemicals, and the required training that must be in place by December 1 of this year. Under Pete's direction, MCAA has prepared a complete set of training tools to help you comply with GHS standards. Best of all, nearly all of the tools included in this program are free to MCAA members. Please contact Pete Chaney for more information: [email protected], 800.556.3653
