Retired MCC clergy Rev. Calvin Tate passed away yesterday (19 June 2012) at home. Up until a few months ago, he had continued to serve in helping to lead worship and serve communion at Joy MCC (Orlando, Florida, USA). For Father's Day this past Sunday, he shared a short reflection with the church. He was very loved and will be missed dearly.
"I know I will miss him and the twinkle he always had in his eye that made me think he was up to something!" -- Rev. Lisa Heilig, Interim Pastor, Joy MCC
His memorial service will be on 1 July at 4pm at Joy MCC.
