MCC-Kids Family Connection Newsletter
I hope that you had an amazing summer and are finding yourselves falling back into routine! We have hit the ground running with planning fall MCC-Kids programing. Please take some time to check out what is happening this fall. It is going to be a very exciting year!
It is time to register for the 2017/18 MCC-Kids year!
Registrations need to be completed each year and cover all MCC-Kids programs, including Sunday morning program, clubs, and on-site events.
As you may have already heard, beginning in the fall our church
will journey together through The Story. This will be a great tool to help children connect their story to God's bigger story. It will be exciting to see how this will positively impact our families as everyone will be going through the same story from week to week at church and will be supported with materials to work on together at home. The Story curriculum gives a great outline and flow that will be familiar to how children's church is already structured. We will also be utilizing The Story materials and topics for both Club K12 and 345 this year. Check out The Story to explore what it is all about!
Get a copy for your kids! There is a version of
The Story for everyone. Copies are available in the back of the sanctuary for the next few weeks. We will also send home a family recourse booklet to each family.
This engaging club for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students focuses on biblical knowledge and self-character while fostering creativity, independence, critical thinking, collaboration, and kindness. Basically, Club K12 is a whole lot of fun with a purpose! Each K12 club is an exciting, hands-on adventure!
This high energy club is jam packed with games, a bible lesson, small group discussions, and loads of fun! Club 345'ers will have a take home book of bible memory and activities to work on at their pace. Also, be on the lookout for fun themed nights!
Hey club parents! Ever find yourself wondering what to do with your time while your kids are at club? Ellen Levasseur is organizing a group to meet at area locations during club time. This is a great opportunity to get to know other parents and to enjoy adult conversation. :)
Ellen if you would like to be included.
Prayer Partners... coming soon!
As an outcome of the Covenant Legacy initiative that MCC is piloting, we will be launching a new Prayer Partner program at MCC. This will be an opportunity for the greater body to connect with our kids and youth. We are excited to see how pairing adults with our children for the purpose of prayer will lead to a meaningful intergenerational experience for all. More information will be coming this fall!
