Prayer Alert Please be in prayer for Judi Flowers and her family. Bob Flowers, her husband, passed away on Wednesday morning after a long battle with cancer. Calling hours will be on Friday from 1-8pm at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. The funeral will be on Saturday at 3pm at the St. Luke Church in rural Decatur. Click here for a map.
Continue to pray for Mark and Sandy Schaufelberger and family. Sandy is currently at home. You can follow Sandy's recently updated blog by clicking here.
Also be praying for baby Elijah, brand new grandson of Dave and Elaine Felton. He will be having an upcoming surgery on his vocal chords at some point but they also discovered, from the echo he had on Tuesday, that the hole in his heart is not closing up like it should. Their prayer is that he won't require surgery for that. |

 IDES Mission Trip
Kit Gentis (who is working with IDES) is in charge of building two new homes for tornado victims in Henryville, IN. The first home is ready for the drywall to be hung and we would like to take a crew to southern Indiana to do this task. We need 8 to 10 workers of which 2 will be gofers/cleanup support workers.
We will leave Thursday evening, August 23 (whenever all are done working for the day), for a 3 hour drive to a local church that will allow us to sleep and stay in their classrooms. We will work Friday, all day Saturday and return home Saturday evening the 25th. Cost will only be gas money for traveling and food over the duration of the trip. A list of items to bring will be determined next week.
Please email Phil Smith, Mike Duggan or call the church office (758-2171) if you are able to join us. This is short notice but I think we can get the job done. If you can not go, we ask that you please pray. We may have more opportunities soon to work down there in future weeks, so let us know of your interest and talents.

 Kayleigh Mower Love Offering
Our children's ministry intern this summer has been Kayleigh Mower and we will be taking up a love offering for her this Sunday, August 19. Kayleigh did a tremendous job all summer and was a huge help to the children's ministry working in all areas from the nursery to preschool and elementary. In case you didn't get to meet Kayleigh, we created a short video interview you can watch by clicking here.
Please come prepared to be generous this coming Sunday as you give towards this love offering. You can indicate that your gift is for Kayleigh by writing "Kayleigh Love Offering" on your check or your offering envelope.
She will be returning to Anderson University this fall as a junior.
