Providing Help and Hope In Overcoming Addiction
October 4th was a historic moment for the 85 million Americans who are impacted by addiction. Unite to Face Addiction is changing the conversation and the way we see this disease.

Unite to Face Addiction

October 4, 2015 was a history-making day in the effort to face addiction, and MCCA's CEO Joe Sullivan was there. Thousands of people showed up and 700 partners joined together for the first-ever rally and concert on the National Mall. There were incredible performances from Joe Walsh, Steven Tyler, Sheryl Crow and many others, and the Surgeon General announced the country's first ever report on addiction. This was the beginning of changing the conversation from problems to solutions for addiction in America.

Resources to Recover

MCCA was recently added to the roster of family endorsed providers on Resources to Recover
(RtoR.org), a gateway website that helps families find resources and support for loved ones with mental health concerns. They offer families guidance, support and information on the best practices and providers in recovery-oriented substance abuse and mental health care. The idea for RtoR came from a small group of family members, volunteers and mental health providers who recognized that the mental health system can be extraordinarily difficult to navigate for families who are dealing with the emergence of a serious mental illness in a daughter, son or other relation, whether for the first time or following after years of struggle.

The John Allen Golf Tournament

MCCA extends a hearty "Thank You" for all those who participated in and/or sponsored our annual John J. Allen Memorial Golf Tournament that took place on  August 10th.  Our turnout was great, with many new and returning golfers.  The event was a success for MCCA and an enjoyable and exciting day amidst glorious weather at the Salem Country Club.  We could not have done it without your support!
