MCPK MASTERS: LAURA MARCHESE

Teaching children to recycle and compost at home can be easy and fun. The best way to get them engaged and excited is to let them help!  Here are some tips:
  • Post a picture over your bins for commingled and paper recycling. Children learn to match what they are putting into the bin to its picture  guaranteed success for pre-readers.
  • Work with your child to create a chart or visual guide for what can (and can't) be composted, then post it over your compost receptacle...more.
