MORNINGDAY COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS SURPASSES $1.5M IN SAVINGS TO LOCAL NONPROFITS

Pompano Beach, Florida (October 1, 2014) - Morningday Community Solutions (MCS) proves that small nonprofits can have a big impact in our community! MCS was founded in 2010, and in 2012 opened Florida's only Framing Hope Warehouse through a partnership with Good360 and The Home Depot. The MCS mission; "Assisting South Florida's Ill, Needy, Youth, and Veterans By Supporting Affordable Housing Solutions and Offering Local Nonprofit Organizations Free Or Deeply Discounted Merchandise Though Our Framing Hope Warehouse" has resonated with the community and the nonprofit organizations that it serves. As a result, MCS has reached a milestone by directly putting $1.5M back into the budgets of over 200 local nonprofits! That's $1.5M that organizations are able to invest in their core mission, furthering their ability to serve our community!

"Honestly, it is pretty overwhelming to think that a little "mom & pop" nonprofit can have a direct positive impact on other nonprofits in our region" said Greg Bales, Founder of Morningday Community Solutions. "Once we were approved by Good360 to open the Framing Hope Warehouse we have continued to grow by adding more donation partners and nonprofit members." said Bales. MCS currently has over 30 retail donation partners that donate merchandise which is stored and distributed in their Pompano Beach facility. "As with any new business it hasn't always been easy and has required several leaps of faith to keep it moving forward. My vision has always been to build a self-sustaining nonprofit that can distribute free and deeply discounted  merchandise to our community." said Bales.

About The MCS Framing Hope Warehouse

The MCS Framing Hope Warehouse receives a wide variety of donated home products and supplies from fifteen Home Depot stores and other retailers in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade Counties. The materials are housed at a 10,000 square foot facility -- the first of its kind in Florida. MCS then redistributes to other local nonprofits at little or no cost. The Framing Hope program diverts excess merchandise from retailers away from landfills and into the homes and lives of thousands of deserving families across the country each year through organizations like MCS. MCS has saved over 100,000 pounds of waste from entering local landfills through its redistribution and repurposing efforts.
