Yoga Classes @ The Shelter

A heartfelt thank you to volunteer, Emily Shearer, who has been teaching weekly yoga and relaxation classes for shelter residents. Emily attended our February Volunteer Orientation and jumped right in to offer her skills to reach residents breathing and relaxation techniques.

A Big Welcome to Leann Horn. Leanne attended our Volunteer Orientation earlier this month and got right to work. Thank you for spending time this month and assisting with answering the phones at our front desk.

A huge shout out to Nikki Strickland. Nikki he has been translating (English to Spanish) documents for our Agency for the past few months. Thanks for your contribution, your professionalism, your time, and your big heart.

Two more lovely ladies from our recent Volunteer Orientation sharing their time with us last month. Here there are hanging out at our CRC (warehouse) sorting loads of children’s PJ’s to be taken over for shelter residents.

Showing Some Love On Valentine's Day!

This fantastic group from The Woodlands Professional Firefighters Association prepared and served a wonderful Valentine’s lasagna dinner for the Shelter residents and Staff.Thank you so much for sharing the love on this special day!!

Thank you to the Lake Conroe Area Republican Women (LCARW) for providing an amazing Valentine's dinner for our residents at Reaching Pines. The room was decked out in decorations and tons of roses for everyone to enjoy!

These Conroe Missionaries, from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, served another Awesome day at our shelter! This group has been committed to working with our agency once a week doing everything from sorting/ folding donations to building new bunk beds for the shelter! We are so blessed for your partnership! Thank You!

Project Spotlight

SHOUT OUT to Garrett McGurrin who chose to fulfill his Eagle Scout project by working with our agency!! Thank you Garrett and all your volunteers with the Woodlands, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who spent a jam packed day painting one of our apartments at Reaching Pines, preparing it for a new family to move in.
