Family Affair in the Park is an opportunity for parents, guardians, and other family members to meet District staff, ask questions, and receive important information. District-wide parent groups—Parent Advisory Council, Bilingual Education Council, and Special Education Parent Advisory Council—will provide informational sessions on a variety of topics. Sponsored by the Office of Parent Engagement, other highlights include student performances, student art gallery, raffle, food, and fun. Many community-based agencies will be on hand as well to provide information on their resources and answer questions.
The Office of Student Placement and Equity is offering pop-up registration, transfer, and placement services for new and current families. Placement staff will be on-site throughout the event to register three, four, and five-year-old children for Pre-K and Kindergarten with proper documentation. For details, visit

There will also be a Henderson Ford Drive 4UR School event—test drive a vehicle and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 on your behalf up to $6,000 to benefit the RCSD senior class.
