Venice Theatre and Loveland Center present The Unbroken Circle - A Tribute to the Grand Ole Opry
Audiences will go "Crazy" for this year's show June 2 - 5, 2016
VENICE, FL, MAY 6, 2016 -  Students from Loveland Center who participate in the theatre arts partnership with Venice Theatre will present four performances of the original musical,  The Unbroken Circle - A Tribute to the Grand Ole Opry . The show will take place on Venice Theatre’s MainStage Thursday June 2 through Sunday June 5, 2016. Tickets are available for $20 at the theatre’s box office by phone at 941-488-1115 or online at www.venicestage.com . Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The production is generously sponsored by Pinkerton Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisers, LLC.

Becky Holahan has written this year’s script for the Loveland Players. In it she features current stars like Blake Shelton and Carrie Underwood and Grand Ole Opry pioneers like Hank Williams and Pasty Cline. Her story gets to the heart of country music as the contemporary singers reflect on how they've been influenced by those who came before. Songs, skits, dances and more will bring laughter and tears to the audience and most likely the usual standing ovation for the performers. Holahan, who also directs the show says, “The Loveland Players put on the best show in town. Don't miss this year's tribute to country music!”

Approximately 30 Loveland Center students, 10 participants with disabilities from the community and 30 volunteers will be participating in the production.

Loveland Center student Dorota Smoszzwnska says, "Being a part of the Loveland Players is fun, it's my first time participating and I love the play. I play Minie Little Pearl and there are some parts where I do line dancing and square dancing. I like to work with Becky and the volunteers and I've learned a lot. I like being on stage!"

The collaboration between the two non-profit organizations provides adults with developmental disabilities the chance to grow through theatre study. Students meet twice a week to train and rehearse, culminating in an annual full-scale production on Venice Theatre’s MainStage.
