Mercy Leadership Conference Empowers Mercy Students
This year the annual Mercy Leadership Conference at Gwynedd Mercy University empowered young Mercy leaders from 12 high schools in the United States and Ireland: Gwynedd Mercy Academy in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania; Mercy Career and Technical High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Mercy High School in Baltimore, Maryland; Mercy High School in Burlingame, California; Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan; Mercy High School in Omaha, Nebraska; Merion Mercy Academy in Merion Station, Pennsylvania; Mount Mercy Academy in Buffalo, New York; Mount Saint Mary Academy in Watchung, New Jersey; Saint Mary Academy - Bay View in Riverside, Rhode Island; Our Lady of Mercy in Newry, Northern Ireland; and Thornhill College in Derry, Northern Ireland.

The conference, held June 24-27, honed students’ skills in leadership and collaboration. The students attended workshops on leadership styles, team-building and servant leadership in the light of the Mercy core values.

Each year at the conference, students learn about a pressing need in the global community and commit to leading fundraising and advocacy efforts at their school around that need. This year the young Mercy leaders will focus on providing support to clinics in the Philippines, Haiti, Panama, Lebanon and Kenya.
Celebrate the 175th Anniversary of Mercy in the United States
