MFF Presents a Sneak Preview of Barry Levinson's new film THE BAY on 10/29 at MICA! Free for FOFs!
Academy Award-winning director and distinguished MFF alum Barry Levinson (RAIN MAN, GOOD MORNING VIETNAM, DINER) has made a found footage eco-horror thriller, THE BAY, that centers on a small Chesapeake Bay town where an unprecedented biological disaster has been unleashed.
The film is only the second horror feature Levinson has ever created, and like his first, SPHERE, the terror comes from the ocean, or more specifically the Chesapeake Bay.
Maryland Film Festival is pleased to announce a special sneak preview of THE BAY on Monday, 10/29 at 7pm at the MICA Brown Center. Q & A with Barry Levinson will follow the screening. THE BAY opens in theaters on November 2nd.

THE BAY Synopsis:
The quaint seaside town of Chesapeake Bay thrives on water; it is the lifeblood of the community. When two biological researchers from France find a staggering level of toxicity in the water, they attempt to alert the mayor, but he refuses to create a panic in the docile town. As a result, a deadly plague is unleashed, turning the people of Chesapeake Bay into hosts for a mutant breed of parasites that take control of their minds, and eventually their bodies. A brutal and harrowing creature feature for the 21st century, THE BAY chronicles the descent of a small town into absolute terror.
