As summer comes to a rapid end, we'd like to take a moment to welcome you to the 2015-2016 school year at Morristown High School. Students, staff and parents will hit the ground running this school year so we hope you all found a moment or two to relax during the past 10 weeks.
Please remember that the first day of school is Thursday, September 3. There is a modified schedule for upper class men on September 3 and 4 to allow for freshman orientation. Please refer to Mr. Manning's letter for specifics.
The mission of the MHS Home and School Association (HSA) is to support families and school staff in raising healthy teens and enriching the education of the students at Morristown High School. Our programming includes:
Project Graduation,
Sharing the Keys driver safety programs,
Student-run coffeehouses,
Lunch with the principal,
Parent education speakers and programs,
Student-run senior citizen intergenerational prom, and
Cultural Arts programming.
Your input and help are needed. Here's how to volunteer and stay connected:
1.Weekly E-Blasts
Be sure to receive the HSA's weekly e-blasts. Please visit our website at mhshsa.com to subscribe to the weekly updates. Please encourage freshman families and families new to the district to sign up for these informative emails.
2.MHS Daily Parent E-blast
Please also make sure you receive the daily email from the school. To sign up, send a blank email to [email protected]. Do not enter anything in the subject line or in the body of the email. You will receive an email asking you to confirm. Upon confirmation you will be automatically added to the database. Please encourage freshman families and families new to the district to sign up for these daily emails from the school.
3.Donate
Please donate to our tax-exempt Just Write A Check campaign. The HSA has a fundraising goal of $10,000 which is raised through direct donations. Just Write A Check is the HSA's ONLY fundraiser. Click here for more detailed information on the Just Write A Check program.

September HSA Meeting
The first HSA meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 7pm in the MHS Media Center. Please join us as Principal Mark Manning updates us on the start of school as well as plans for the 2015-2016 school year.
