Join MHSA for a Summer Evening at Market!

MHSA invites you to join us for a summer evening reception on Thursday, July 18, 5:30-8:00 p.m. at Market's rooftop bar, 21 Broad Street, in Boston's Financial District. Funds raised will support MHSA's Faces of Homelessness Speakers' Bureau, a program that empowers people who have experienced homelessness to share their stories and advocate for housing.

Mix and mingle with members of the nonprofit and corporate sectors, young professionals, and MHSA supporters while enjoying the summer evening weather with drinks and a raffle. In addition to time to network with friends new and old, the evening will feature a speaker who will share personal stories about homelessness and the importance of housing.

MHSA Featured in USICH Solutions Database

This spring, the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) released the USICH Solutions Database. The database contains profiles of best practices in ending homelessness from across the nation.

MHSA is honored to share with you that the Home & Healthy for Good (HHG) initiative and the Community Support Program for People Experiencing Chronic Homelessness (CSPECH) are featured in the database.

State Budget Update

State House LargeThe Massachusetts House and Senate have both released their Fiscal Year 2014 (FY14) Budgets. The House Budget increased the line item for MHSA's Home & Healthy for Good program to $1.8 million, while the Senate Budget level-funded HHG at $1.4 million. A six-member Conference Committee is now meeting to resolve the differences between the House and Senate Budgets.
