Settling in back at our home base in Downers Grove after three trips to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway over the past 5 weekends. Last week's Inaugural SVRA Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational was an amazing success, with approximately 700 racers getting their chance to lap both the oval and road circuit at IMS over the course of the weekend. It fulfilled the dream of a lifetime for a lot of drivers. We hope it becomes a permanent fixture on the Speedway's schedule.

Last time, we mentioned we would be offering Jade Gurss's new book on the Illmor/Penske/Mercedes engine that dominated the Indianapolis 500 in 1994. Luckily, Gurss occupied the Gasoline Alley garage next to ours at Indy last weekend and we were able to bring home a supply of author-signed copies of 'Beast' for those of you who couldn't be there.

A restock of 'Black Noon', the story behind the tragic 1964 Indianapolis 500 arrived while we were at Indy. Our signing with author Art Garner was a complete sellout at the 500 Memorabilia Show a few weeks ago. Art was kind enough to sign a few bookplates for us after the last book had sold. We will include one in each copy while supplies last. Order HERE.

One final book note: Our shipment of Maurice Hamilton's 'Senna' is inbound from the UK. This book paints a picture of the sport's most charismatic driver through the voices of the people who knew him best; the team-mates, engineers, mechanics and management personnel who were part of the McLaren family during Senna's six seasons with the team. You can reserve a copy from this first import shipment HERE.
