Nominees Sought for Friebert Social Justice Award
|
The Jewish Community Relations Council of MJF is seeking nominees for its third annual Robert H. Friebert Social Justice Award.
The award will be given to an individual who has demonstrated leadership, courage and compassion as a social justice advocate, while working to eliminate discrimination and injustice in the greater Milwaukee area.

The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle encourages students in 4th-6th grade to enter the Passover section cover contest. The winning artist receives a $25 prize and the art will publish in the April edition!

Fabric of Survival: The Art of Esther Nisenthal Krinitz

Jewish Museum Milwaukee, a program of the MJF, 1360 N. Prospect Ave.
Fifty years after defying Nazi orders at the age of 15, Esther was determined to show her daughters the family she had lost. She created a series of 36 hauntingly beautiful, exquisitely detailed works of fabric collage and embroidery.
