MLDAC Winter Meeting

The Missouri Lumber Dealers Activity Committee (MLDAC) will hold their annual meeting on Friday, January 5, 2018, at CHIC Lumber Company, 2625 E. Terra Lane, St. Peters, Missouri. There is no charge to attend this program. Three featured speakers may be of interest to the entire membership and you are invited to attend.

Electronic Logging Device Phase-In Requirements and Exemptions… The ELD Rule applies to most motor carriers and drivers who are currently required to maintain records of duty status (RODS). Phase 2 begins December 18, 2017, requiring covered entities to have ELDs or Automatic On Board Recording Devices installed. There are several exemptions to the rule that may apply to LBM dealers. Federated Insurance Appoints New President… Federated Insurance Companies’ Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Fetters announced Wednesday the appointment of Michael G. Kerr to the role of President of the Companies effective December 1, 2017. Kerr will add these responsibilities to his current role as Chief Operating Officer. Read more .
