Fall Festival

Thursday, October 24th

(Friday is a Teacher Workday)

The Fall Festival is an event put on by the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) each fall!  The plans are already in the works!  For those who are new to the school this festival is open to all MMS families and is a ton of fun for all ages.  Check out this video to get an idea of what goes on!  In the past the money raised has helped with the improvements on the preschool/kindergarten playground as well as smart boards in Ms. Anita's and Mr. Richard's classrooms!

We will be needing a lot of parent volunteers in a variety of roles! This year we are going to try and do all booth, volunteer and sponsorship sign-ups online!  This list will grow, but the sponsorship opportunities, some donations needed and Grill Master slots are already available!  Check it out now and keep checking back to see how you can help!

Middle School Information
First through eighth grade parents, did you forget your password over the summer? No problem. There is a "Forgot Password" button on the login page that will help you reset it.

M3S Parent Night: -Tuesday August 27th @ 6pm
In our continuing effort to keep parents informed of what their child is doing in the classroom a parent meeting is scheduled to discuss the students' class work, homework, binder organization system, and classroom management. I highly encourage the parents of 6th grade students and new 7th or 8th grade students to attend this meeting.
Some topics to be covered are:
  • how the binders are setup
  • how the binder relates to class work and homework assignments
  • how parents can use to keep track of their child's grades, attendance, assignments and behavior
  • how parents can help their child with homework assignments and studying for quizzes and tests

We will also go over the use of homework and behavior notifications, the grading scale, and quarterly student report cards. Any general questions about the middle school program will also be addressed.

As middle school students continue on into adolescents, they seek independence. While the program is designed with this in mind, students still need support and guidance from home. This meeting will address ways that parents can help their child prepare for school with little interference with their child's independence. Your interest and commitment to your child's progress in school can help ensure his or her success.
