M3S Parent Night: -Tuesday August 27th @ 6pm
In our continuing effort to keep parents informed of what their child is doing in the classroom a parent meeting is scheduled to discuss the students' class work, homework, binder organization system, and classroom management. I highly encourage the parents of 6th grade students and new 7th or 8th grade students to attend this meeting.
Some topics to be covered are:
- how the binders are setup
- how the binder relates to class work and homework assignments
- how parents can use Jupitergrades.com to keep track of their child's grades, attendance, assignments and behavior
- how parents can help their child with homework assignments and studying for quizzes and tests
We will also go over the use of homework and behavior notifications, the grading scale, and quarterly student report cards. Any general questions about the middle school program will also be addressed.
As middle school students continue on into adolescents, they seek independence. While the program is designed with this in mind, students still need support and guidance from home. This meeting will address ways that parents can help their child prepare for school with little interference with their child's independence. Your interest and commitment to your child's progress in school can help ensure his or her success.
