MORR Adds to Sportsman Year End Payout

Abrams, WI (December 23, 2014) - With only three weeks until the MORR Sportsman Banquet, the Board of Directors of Midwest Off-Road Racing have voted to donate $5000 to the Sportsman year end points fund. The money will be spread among the season long top performers and is in addition to the racer contribution that was included with each paid entry fee from the 2014 Sportsman race season. The top drivers in all eleven classes of MORR Sportsman racers will be receive their awards on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino.

"The 2014 MORR Sportsman Short-Course season saw Crandon and Bark River add their usual year end payout to the actual race payback," noted MORR Treasurer Greg Stingle. "The end result was that more racers received money during the season which helped them with their race expenses during the season. Thanks to fundraisers and marketing programs that MORR has put together over the last few years, the group is able to thank its racer membership by adding to the year end points fund."

This year's MORR Sportsman Banquet is expected to be the biggest year end celebration to date. Along with the performers in each class, all 2014 Crandon World Champions will be honored as well. Tickets are still available for the banquet. To order your tickets go to http://www.midwest-offroadracing.com/banquet-info.htm

Don't forget MORR also hosts its annual silent auction during the banquet as well. In years past, a complete buggy race car chassis, new race car parts from several contingency sponsors as well as stainless steel shop cabinets have been items that were among the many item donated for the fundraiser. The 2015 edition of the auction has well over fifty different offerings and more items continue to come in. For more information on the fundraiser please click here.

An additional highlight to this year's MORR Sportsman Banquet celebration will be the public announcement of the standalone Sportsman short-course series that will be operated by Crandon and Bark River.

See everyone at the Banquet!
