UPCOMING EVENTS

Join Us Tonight!

Few things are as fraught with tension, anxiety and the potential or serious miscommunication as the RFP process.

For seasoned as well as beginning planners this is a must attend event. For suppliers who respond to RFPs, you'll want to attend this event as well. Join us on Wednesday, May 31 at the Misselwood at Endicott College for a panel discussion that promises to give both planners and suppliers valuable insights and practical knowledge about driving the RFP to a successful win-win conclusion. Our panel of industry experts, drawn from both the planner and suppler side, will show us how to:
  • Use your MPI membership to increase supplier/planner affinity,
  • Foster a collaborative approach in working together effectively,
  • Simplify the RFP process and make it less time consuming for both the planner and the supplier.
MODERATOR:
Molly Hudson, CMP, CMM (The Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School) will moderate our panel.

P ANELISTS:
Megan Connor (Sandler Training)
Patrick Sullivan (Starwood Hotels Metro Market) Melody Moore (Boston Convention Marketing Center)

Missed The April Meeting? Here's a recap!

"What A Great Party..."

Wow!  Fun, camaraderie and fundraising sums up our MPINE Chairman’s Challenge reception last night at the YMCA of Greater Boston.  Who knew that such a unique event location existed in this iconic Huntington Avenue location? And who knew our entire Office of the President could sing like that?

An invigorating spin class got the event rolling and the energy was amplified through the evening with epic karaoke performances and a battle for the title of Cornhole Champion.  All of this took place while raising awareness and funds for the valuable community programs offered by YMCA of Greater Boston and the MPI Foundation scholarship fund that awards education to our MPI members.

Thank you SO MUCH once again to our awesome sponsors:

  • Boston Cornhole
  • Corinthian Events
  • David Fox, Photographer
  • Fun Enterprises, Inc
  • Max Ultimate Food
  • The Bartending Service of New England
  • VDA Productions
  • YMCA of Greater Boston

The Inn at Longwood Medical – Boston Wins American Hotel & Lodging Association
Annual Innovation Award

A Longwood Medical Area hotel was honored at the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s (AHLA) Stars of the Industry Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C. yesterday with the Innovation Award for the hotel’s in-house program that gives hope to families from around the country visiting nearby Boston medical centers. The team at The Inn at Longwood Medical was thrilled to receive this national recognition from AHLA for their beloved Where’s Hope program and Hope the Bear character.

The AHLA Innovation Award is given to the hotel based on what elevates the guest experience and propels it forward. This award honors the property that drives fresh thinking and inspires a culture of innovative guest relations program outside of the normal expected guest experience.

“Hope the Bear was originally created as a welcome gift for the many patients that stay with us while visiting Boston Children’s Hospital,” said Brian Stiglets, General Manager of The Inn at Longwood Medical. “The name Hope means so much to so many guests who visit us and The Longwood Medical Area, it just felt right. The staff embraced the idea and expanded the program to include the story, coloring books, video, and life size public appearances. The staff and I are grateful for this award and appreciate the AHLA for recognizing the care and commitment to our community that Hope represents.”
