School Year 2017-2018| March 14, 2018

Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School
A National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence
Catholic Identity
We encounter Andrise, a teacher in Haiti who knows the importance of forming young people who will give back to the community—and their country. Reflect on the role teachers have played in bringing you closer to God and your community. How can you support those, worldwide, who are forced to flee their homes to find safety or better opportunities? Visit for more.

Each Friday of Lent, there is an opportunity to attend 2:30 Mass, enjoy our parish Fish Fry and pray the Stations of the Cross.

We will be celebrating Mass next week on Monday for the Feast of St. Joseph. All are welcome to join us.
Internet Safety - Friday, March 23
Please join us for a casual conversation on our kids and the internet. We will discuss safe internet access and parent controls to consider, as well as the always popular YouTube site.
This talk, sponsored by our PAWS group, will be led by MQ parent, Kris Beardsley and will be held in the Media Center at 7pm.
St. Patrick's Day

We will celebrate St. Patrick's Day at school on Friday. Students who would like to wear their St. Patrick's day accessories with their uniform on Friday are welcome to. A reminder that hair color, face paint and fingernail polish are not accessories.

Cornelia Nash Scholarships
A reminder that the deadline is the end of this month to apply for financial aid through FACTS and to apply for the Cornelia Nash Scholarships.
Panther Prance
Panther Prance is March 23 .  It is not too late to sign up! We will be placing a late order of t-shirts a little closer to the dance, so you will get your t-shirt, just a little later after the dance. If you don't want to dance but still want to support the UK Children's Hospital, you can just send your donation in an envelope marked, "Panther Prance."  Thank you for supporting our MQ version of Dance Blue
We hope you are ready for a fun night with the Mary Queen School & Parish community! This April 20 we will celebrate our 5th annual Night of Angels event at the Round Barn. Want to win a ticket? Check out the contest running now through March 29. All other information can be found here: or

The state of KY is implementing new immunization regulations for ALL students next school year. Students must get the Hepatitis A vaccine, if they haven't already. It is given in two doses, six months apart. In order to be compliant for the 2018-19 school year, the first dose should be given now, in January or February. Schools cannot admit students unless they are immunized and have the new KY immunization certificate on file at the school within two weeks of the start of school. If you have any questions about this, please contact your child's physician or Margaret Jones, Program Manager, KY Immunization Program at 502-564-4478 ext. 4257 or Melissa Eastman, Adolescent Immunization Coordinator at 502-564-4478 ext. 4254
