Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School
A National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence
Catholic Identity
May Crowning was so beautiful! We crowned Mary, queen of Heaven and Earth. A special congratulations to our 8th graders, Abby Douglas and Jack Eugenio, who were chosen by their peers to crown Mary because they are the students who best exemplified the qualities of Mary. Our 8th grade May Crowning Court included; Andrew Knopp, Isabella Bonham, Andrew Menke, Hana Johnson, Matthew Lyons, Bridgette Mullikan, Sam King, Selena Kassis, Kyle Brinkman and Kendall Morgan. All our students participated so wonderfully, I know our Mother Mary was very proud.

Our school Mass will be next Friday, May 18 at 8:15. This is our volunteer appreciation Mass. Please try to attend and let us thank you for all you do for us!
Playground Ribbon Cutting
May 11 at 9:00
It looks like we may actually be able to get out on our new playground this Friday! It is very exciting. Weather permitting, we will cut the ribbon and let the fun begin! The first student on the new playground will be the student whose name we pull from the Box Top papers Friday morning (If you need more forms, we have them in the office - you can enter as many times as you want). We have the rest of the school scheduled to play on the playground at some point the rest of the day. It is a great day to be a Panther!
What do you think about the white shirt as part of the elementary uniform? At our School Council meeting it was suggested that we investigate another color other than white. What do you think? Please complete the very short survey and let us know. Thank you!

Vaccinations for 18-19 School Year
The state of KY is implementing new immunization regulations for ALL students next school year. Students must get the Hepatitis A vaccine, if they haven't already. It is given in two doses, six months apart. In order to be compliant for the 2018-19 school year, the first dose should be given now, in January or February. Schools cannot admit students unless they are immunized and have the new KY immunization certificate on file at the school within two weeks of the start of school. If you have any questions about this, please contact your child's physician or Margaret Jones, Program Manager, KY Immunization Program at 502-564-4478 ext. 4257 or Melissa Eastman, Adolescent Immunization Coordinator at 502-564-4478 ext. 4254
