Beach Day Redo @ Burke's
We're going to have a blast
Surf Youth Middle School will
meet at Burke's Beach from
5:30 - 8:30, $3 for Pizza
(Was originally scheduled last week, but was postponed due to weather)
We're excited to be heading to the beach for a night of games and fun on the beach. Please be there at 5:30 pm so we can go down to the beach as a group. Burke's Beach is on Burke's Beach Road near Chaplin Park. We'll have lots of fun!

Join us for Kayaking Friday afternoon, 1 - 3:30 pm. Meet at the Outside Hilton Head Booth near Shelter Cove
Parents: You will need to come and sign a permission waiver at the booth prior to our expedition.

Directions:Google Map This trip departs from Shelter Cove Marina. We are located at the southwest corner of the marina next to the Ship Store and Ela's Grille (formerly the Ocean Grille). Turn off HWY 278 Business into the Shelter Cove Harbor area, directly across from Palmetto Dunes Resort, between mile markers 8 and 9. Traveling eastbound, turn RIGHT into Shelter Cove Harbor. If traveling westbound, Shelter Cove Harbor will be on your LEFT. Once you turn off the highway take an immediate left onto Shelter Cove Lane. Signs will direct you to the Ship Store and Ela's Grille. Shelter Cove Lane goes 1 mile and ends at a parking lot. Please park in this lot. You will check in at our kiosk (outdoor desk), Located between the parking lot and the docks. OUTSIDE HILTON HEAD is written on the awnings. Wear clothing that would be comfortable for a walk on the beach that day. Swimsuits are not necessary, but are permitted. Footwear that would stay on your feet in the water is required. Sport sandals such as Teva's or Chaco's are recommended, and old sneakers are fine, too. Sandals must attach around the ankle, so no flip-flops please. Sun protection is important, regardless of the weather or season. We strongly recommend a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. A bottle of water for each person is also recommended. During Spring and Fall mornings and evenings bug spray may be necessary.

Summer Youth is Here = Calendar
Welcome to Summer Surf and ACDC Youth!

*Surf Parents, we are looking for a host for our last Summer Pool Party. Wed Aug 15th. Please reply to this email if you would be willing to open your home for one of these events. They last from 6 - 8 pm, we usually have about 15 youth, and we tend to do hot dogs and hamburgers, sides and drinks. We always have lots of fun.

White Water Rafting Trip
Currently Full, if you want to get on waiting list in case someone drops, contact Dan.
When: August 10th - 12th (Friday through Sunday). We will leave at 10 am on Friday from Saint Andrew BTS, and will return Sunday at 5 pm.
Cost: $150 We camp at Grandfather Mountain in Boone, NC
We will hit Zip Line, WWR Saturday, A Bit of Shopping (bring some extra $), Short Hikes, Camp Fire, Smores and lots of Fun What to Bring: A Sleeping Bag, Camping Clothes for weekend (one pair can get wet), sturdy walking shoes and a pair that can get wet, hygiene (we will have showers), bug spray, Bible
