A Message from Assistant Principal Benzie

Over the past two weeks, we have enjoyed wonderful concerts put on by our talented students and staff. We have had the pleasure of listening to our choruses, bands and orchestras perform fabulous pieces. Today, the whole school was treated to a little festive music to end the 2016 year. In the end, an amazing 426 out of 641 students performed today. That is two-thirds of our student body! Our last concert will take place on Tuesday with the middle school orchestra performing along with the high school orchestra at the High School. We feel fortunate to have an amazing group of musical leaders directing our students.

As we enter our final week before the end of the year, I want to wish everyone a relaxing and fun-filled winter break. Whether you are traveling far or staying close, please enjoy every moment and send your children back recharged and ready to take on 2017.

Warm regards,

George

Gift Your Child

The PTO has now raised almost 80% of our $15,000 fundraising goal for this year.  Visit the WMS PTO on Facebook to see some of last year’s grants in action around school.  Remember, this year the PTO will not be asking you to pay dues or to sell gift wrap or cookie dough – we instead ask that you Gift Your Child.  100% of your donation is tax deductible and eligible for matching gift donations, and every dollar directly supports the PTO’s many programs at WMS.  Donate today after registering at MySchoolAnywhere or here! You can also mail a check (made out to “Wayland PTO”) to Wayland Middle School PTO, 201 Main Street, Wayland, MA 01778.  The suggested donation is $100 per middle school student.
