CharlieCards available for WMS Students
Registration Deadline is Monday, September 25

The MBTA provides Student CharlieCards (S-Card) for students in middle or high school for participating school districts. Students receive a free S-Card and can load the card with funds at any MBTA fare vending machine. When students use their S-Card, they receive a 50% discount on the fare. All Student CharlieCards expire on August 31st each year and are reissued by the school for the following year.

Wayland is participating, and families may opt-in to receive the S-Card. There is no cost to the district, except for the time to administer the program. The cards allow students to travel on Bus, Subway, and Express Bus at a “Pay As You Go” 50% reduced rate. S-Card passes are NOT valid for the Commuter Rail.

Student S-Cards can ONLY be loaded with Stored Value and/or a monthly pass at a Fare Vending Machine or Retail Sales Terminal. First Middle & More Coffee!
Thursday, September 28th from 8:45 - 9:45 AM
The WMS PTO hosts a Middle & More Coffee each month, bringing in school staff or external speakers to discuss relevant topics.

We will be hosting our first Middle & More Coffee in the Library. Our new superintendent, Dr. Unobskey, is looking to meet with parents to get input and feedback while formulating his goals for the district. While a RSVP is not normally required for the Coffee, for planning purposes, we request that you email   if you are able to attend this session.

Specifically, Dr. Unobskey is looking for input on:
  1. What are the aspects of Wayland schools / WMS that we want to protect at all costs?
  2. What are promising aspects we want to grow?
  3. What are the aspects that we can improve?
  4. How can we deepen the collaboration among the community, the schools and the Central Office?
  5. What do you particularly want and need from your Superintendent?
We hope to see you then!
