Welcome to The Family!
Pastor Ulysses Stephen King, Jr., Mrs. Tiffany, and the Memorial Tabernacle Family welcome you to the family. We invite you to become a member of a family of believers God is using to "reach to teach, teach to change" one person and one block at a time. We pray you will choose to attend the reunion to receive the love God has given us to give to you specifically! #Galatians610 #HarvestTime #HolySpiritRestatMTC

Notes From Sunday's Sermon
"ENCOURAGEMENT"
(Deuteronomy 3:23-29
)
Jesus Christ was the most encouraging person to ever live. Should not those of us who follow Him be encouragers? Give it! Christ is spoken of as our encourager in II Thessalonians 2: 16, 17: ''Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation [encouragement] and good hope by grace, comfort [encourage] your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.'' If He does it for us we should do it for others. Encouragement doesn't have to be earned. Praise does. Encouragement energizes us. Give it and keep on giving it.
There is a special bamboo in China that serves as an example. Once planted the bamboo does not grow for four years. All during those four years it has to be watered and cultivated, but it doesn't grow. The fifth year it does. It often reaches a height of 90 feet. If neglected during the first 4 years it never grows. Encouragement is needed at all times. If you have been giving it without any apparent results don't stop cultivating.
In these difficult days, learn the secret of encouraging yourself in the Lord your God! Surrender to God's will; Depend on God's strength and Rest on God's promises by faith! As you do, your discouragement will eventually fade and God will give you wonderful victory!

Serving in the Community
Such a blessing to be used to serve others in the community. Thank you to each of MTC's family and friends who plated, setup, cleaned, smiled, greeted, and loved on those who attended the 26th Annual City of Oakland Thanksgiving Dinner! Photos were not captured of each of your actions, but we acknowledge each of you - Sisters Pier, Denise, Tiffany and Brothers Kaidi, Martin, Andrew, and Pastor! We applaud Sis Gesunda for another awesome job well done! Thank you! #GiveJoy#Grateful #ServeLikeJesus
We show others love by serving and keep the words of Christ on our hearts and in our actions,
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus." - Philippians 2:3-5
